Patent & Gucci

This skirt has been in my closet and on this blog for years. I think it’s really stood the test of time because of the quality. It’s from Topshop’s ’boutique’ range and it’s made from patent leather. Whenever I’ve bought pieces in pvc or vinyl they never seem to last and wear as well. Patent/pvc/vinyl pieces were really in vougue when I got this skirt and I remember being a little scandalized at the price point because it was from Tophop. I almost bought a cheaper alternative but changed my mind because, well it looked cheaper! It’s not always the case but sometimes I think it’s worth spending a little extra on quality in order to get longevity from an item.

Instagram followers will know I wear this Gucci t.shirt on the regular. But can you blame me? I’m trying to make it cost per wear effective!

Seamed

I’m in love with these Re/Done jeans. They’re made out of a couple of pairs of vintage Levis, stitched together to make one perfect pair. They’re very snug and I can hardly sit down but they hug my bum ever so well…. sitting is overrated anyway, right? After a few hours of wear they do eventually relax, I promise!

The top I’m wearing is from London based brand ‘Nobody’s Child‘. I was drawn to the ruffled sleeve, it elevated the top from a regular turtle neck to something a little more special. A good styling trick is to look out for the little details that can set an item apart.

These Chiara Ferragni Collection sandals are super whimsical and feminine. I really like to mix metals so the gold and silver stars on these are a perfect addition to my closet.

Mirror Mirror

The Balenciaga ‘All Time’ mirror boots were and are FIRE. Pricey but… damn they look good. I didn’t splurge on those babies as I tend to invest in pieces that I think either have longevity or that I know I’ll wear a lot while they’re in style (this is a rule of my own making and I reserve the right to break it at any time with no warning).

I’ve been rocking Kandee shoes since they first reached out to me years ago so when they offered me their version of the mirror boots I jumped at the chance to give them a go. When I think ‘wearable’, thigh high silver boots are not what springs to mind but they surprisingly work quite well. I’m not suggesting you can run to supermarket and do the weekly shop in them, they are most definitely ‘A Look’, but they’re not as scary as you might first think… My favorite way to wear them is with a super oversized hoodie worn as a dress or with a long swishy skirt.
