When I got married, there were so few bridal gowns that went into plus sizes and even fewer that carried plus size samples sizes in store for their plus size customers. I can't lie, it made me sad not to be able to try my wedding dress before I purchased it. Essense of Australia is actively changing this and giving their plus size brides the same experience as their straight size brides through their EveryBody/EveryBride selections. They have partnered with bridal retailers across the world to cater to the 18+ bride along with training the staff of these boutiques to be knowledgeable so they can help the brides find the best fit, style and even ways you can change your gowns through alterations so that you get the gown that looks best on you and that you feel good in. Find retailers near you that carry the Essense of Australia EveryBody/EveryBride collection.
At my visit to Wedding Angels Boutique in Atlanta, I got to view their extensive selection of the Essense of Australia EveryBody/EveryBride Selections. I picked out about six gowns to try on, and I probably fell in love with each one. They all had some special about it.
This gown is something that I would have probably never considered, but when I tried it on I was was in awe. It was super simple and not the traditional dress with lots of fluff. It was super simple with beautiful beading. It was gorgeous from the front, but the back of the dress made it spectacular. I tell people all the time, "just try it on" and this was a time I had to remind myself of my advice. I could see myself renewing my vows in this gown. I think it's a perfect dress for a beach wedding, small private ceremonies, and your non-traditional bride.
I made it a point to try on gowns in non-sleeveless gowns. I know a lot of my readers have larger busts and a strapless dress isn't realistic. This gown was an compromise in between getting the sweetheart neckline you love and having straps. I thought this gown was darling and paired with some clear bra straps you would get to have a strapless look without the commitment.
This gown had a very traditional element with gorgeous beading and the classic strapless neckline that so many brides love. The beading is what made this dress! Traditional brides this one is for you.
This dress reminds me of the dress Audrey Hepburn wore at her wedding. The semi-off the shoulder with a boatneck feel was just so elegant and timeless. This was my "Say Yes to the Dress" moment. I love this dress. I wish I could have taken it home.
